Tiff file conversion to jpg failing.

When i tried to convert a 'tif' file into 'jpg' file, it's getting failed for large size of tif files. So is there any size limit to which the nconvert will work?. I tried to upload 20mb tif file, it's converted.But when we try to upload a large file like 177Mb. it's failed. So if any one know about any sort of nconvert size limit or any other issue, please help me to sort it out.

and do you have enough memory? what pixel size has your tiff file?

Actually, it's occuring in windows 7 also. It's 64bit. i tired in that also got failed at 170mb file and above. (64bit nconvert).

Ithing, i didn't had too much memory, but I had more than 1Gb or more free space at that time and the file i used was something around 170mb.

but in pixels what is the size?

In pixel width: 1600px height: 860px. Same size 100mb file are used and it converted successfully.

the file is 100Mb and has only a pixel size of 1600x860???

Yes. The file with 100mb had the same pixels( 1600x860) and the other file with 170mb also had the same pixel( 1600x860). Is there any problem?, I didn't get you?

very big file size for normal image file! Without the file, i can't tell you where is the problem....
