Mosaic/Tile question
Doing a "nconvert -help" I noticed there is a "mosaic" option. I am wondering if this can be used to combine seperate images into one big image? I am working on a mapping project and need to be able to combine seperate image tiles into one single big image.

The -mosaic option of Nconvert will apply a mosaic effect on the current image. But with that feature you cannot specify multiple images and combine these.
Think the Panorama function (Tools->Create Panorama) in XnView is what would help you, this function allows to combine several images horizontally/vertically to one large image. For all I know this function is not available in Nconvert.
