AI to JPG, nconvert , cant read file (gs installed)

Post by Guest »

Hey, grate tool, nconvert!

i install GhostScript (current version)

i was not able to convert ai to jpg

Error: Don't know how to read this picture (/test_images/GraphSamples2.ai)

system: Uniux
using current stable version of nconvert that comes with nview.

yet when i try imagemagick it works fine, yet i like to use nconvert , due to how much faster it is vs imagemagick.

thanks much for feedback,
Nilesh

It might be a good idea to check whether XnView can read the AI file.
Please see also topic "How to display vector formats like PDF, AI,...? GhostScript!".

Yes, its with any AI file . just just a one type of ai file.

so i guess i have issue with nconvert detecting ghostscript? due to i am able to use nconvert fine for psd, tiff images. yet for ai, cant read it.

i current use SSH (putty) to login to the uniux server to do the convert, have not tried the xview using putty. just want to convert .

Ill keep looking on this board, thanks for feedback, any suggestion?
