b1: Fit Window to image problem

Post by Xyzzy »

Hello!

View->Auto Image size set to Fit Window to image
Force XnView to Fit image unchecked.

Image smaller than XnView window - Image opened in maximized folder tab. BAD, should be opened in restored (non-maximized) window.

Steps to reproduce.

Image much smaller than desktop. Delete INI. Run XnView.

Change View>Auto Image Size to Fit window to image.
Maximize XnView window.
Go to directory with the image. Double-click image.
Image is opened in maximized window- BAD, should be in window sized to image.

Not sure that it's a bug, if you have the browser in maximized window, so opened view will be in maximized view too... (MDI works like that)

So my proposal is to remove all options referring to opening windows as restored or maximized and replace it with one option:
Open windows as maximized (affects opened windows).
If checked, all windows are opened as maximized in workspace. If unchecked, they are not (always as restored). All. Always. Plain and simple. If there are any opened windows and option changes, all existing windows are maximized/restored.

I do not know MDI specifics and I am not interested in it. And I am sure neither is most of the users (like 99.99% or so).

I Close this because problems with MDI are well-known and are covered by other threads.
