Is it possible to turn off in the options that I see the ".."-directory always? Where?

In the options (Tools > Options | Browser > File List) you can deactivate "Folders", this will disable the ".." (which stands for the upper dir). But this will also hide all sub folders.

A special option for exactly hiding the parent dir is not available. I think that such an option would be good, I even think that the parent dir ".." should be hidden by default.

I dissagree, just as option.

Navigation is much easier with [..] item, especially navigation with keyboard - arrows, home, end and enter keys.

Currently, I see little benefit in showing the "..". If you want to navigate quickly to the upper dir, you simply press "Backspace" and there you are.

For me is easier - and faster press Home (or left arrow in my file manager) and Enter, but I don't care, just add an option to choose...

The ".." should really disappear (by default) in one of the next releases.
