Release candidates for XnView 1.80: 1-2 weeks to go

Post by helmut »

Release Candidates are available, now.

---------------------------

In about 1-2 weeks time (approx.) a first release candidate for XnView 1.75 will be available here.

In the past weeks Pierre has found time for developing it, and every day it makes good progress.

Greetings,

Helmut

Dear XnView users,

the development of XnView 1.75 is on it's way. Yet, it will still take some days till the first release candidate is availalble. Sure enough the new version will not fulfill all requests, but it will have some nice new features. Also the look of XnView will change, see the draft screenshot below.

Please be patient...

Regards,

Pierre

That looks really awesome!
Only one problem I won't be able to sleep now :)

You should have saved that screenshot as a 256 PNG it would have been smaller and looked better or at least thats my experience with PNG's.

I was refering to FOOOD's WinRAR theme,
Nothing to do with the next version of XnView!

No, XnView 1.80 RC's have not been posted yet, Pierre will let us know when they are available.

XnView 1.80

Post by helmut »

Pierre has put a lot of effort and new features in the new release, this is why there won't be a version 1.75 but a version 1.80. The first release candidates of XnView 1.80 will be available on Monday 16th May.
