RC5: auto-refresh high cpu usage

Post by lawndart »

Move 500 files into directory Xnview is browsing by a cut and paste
with windows explorer, these files show up correctly. Object count
is correctly shown only when a file is selected.
However, decoding a large text file filled with thousands of usenet
articles into directory (using uudecode for example) will result in
extremely high CPU usage. This happens very quickly, long before
all decoded files are finished going into directory. It eventually, returns
to normal after much time has passed. This may seem to be a freeze
for some.

Do you have "Recognize only by extension"?

Yes, I use "Recognize only by extension".
"Scan headers in folders" set to "Never"
