how to convert .ai to .jpg

I was excited to find your program. I was hoping to be able to batch convert .ai files into jpgs....When I grab a .ai file and go to export, it says its not "a picture file"

Was wondering if I was following the right steps, and/or if this conversion is possible with your program

Thanks a lot, and I'm crossing my fingers as I do a bunch of these conversions and a batch program would save so so so much time

I am on a MAC, running 10.5.8, downloaded XnView MP v0.21

Do you have installed ghostscript?

I just downloaded it, but I am quite the novice...not sure what to do with it now that I have it
