1.95 b: 32 BPP icons…

Post by Clo »

:) Hello!

• Issue related to THAT THREAD :
- Not fixed for me, the alpha channel is still shown as full black, both when hovered and on idle…
- Same with a 16 or 32 BPP screen.

• Please, check also with my Clo's Project test-skin (and its extra-icons, the one to check is <Ico_plus\Green_fish.ico>)
- Win XP-Pro SPI - FR

Icons+skin

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

• I sent the skin plus its extra-icons (please, choose the ones having a drop shadow, like said in my e-mail…)
• That I get here currently, left hand : the real icon - right hand : how it's displayed in the tool-bar.

Ok, to be able to use 32bits icon, you must have Xp with .manifest
Pierre.

Which manifest ?

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

• I use XP-Pro SP1, and I don't know which . manifest you are talking of…
- The one of XnView is there for ages, of course.

- In Total Commander button-bars, a 32 BPP icon with a similar drop shadow (gradation of transparency) is shown :

    Image

- Here blown up by 300%. The partially transparent pixels are not displayed as a solid black block…

Do you use the xnview.manifest, i means.
So if you have it, it's strange, i can't reproduce

Config is right

:) Again…

• The funny thing is that these icons are shown correctly (about the drop shadow) in the Preview of the Options,
below the bar Preview :

      Image

• Same in the "icon to choose" Preview…
- The mystery darkens… Hm… One has false shadow…;)

• Aside : What about the slider outside the preview area (like in TC…) ?

Insolvable

Post by Clo »

• Hi !
Is this problem resolved with 1.95 final?
• Not solved at all, and it seems insolvable in XnView… Hence, I used a workaround by drawing 24-BPP special extra icons
for my own use, having colours gradations and a full BG like the bar one… ;)

- However, I still wonder that those 32 BPP icons work in TC, same machine, same settings…
