Preferences (F12) are reset at next start

When I change my settings (F12),
close the program and start it again,
some settings are sometimes reset to default.

There are not always the same settings reset,
but sometimes also the preview window is gone.

I'm using Windows Vista.

Is there any bug known, which could cause this?

No i have no problem, but for which settings of option dialog?

It's not always the same settings that are reset to default.

Here are the settings that where reset at todays start:
(I'm writing the settings in german and try to translate in english, hope this is ok)

Allgemein | Lesen/Schreiben | Schreiben | JPEG | Bisherige Qualität schätzen und verwenden
Common | Read/Write | Write | JPEG | Use existing Quality
(This checkbox was set but got deactivated somehow)

Bildansicht | Verschiedenes | Zwischenspeicher | Aktuelles Bild zwischenspeichern
View | Misc | Cache | Cache actual picture
(This checkbox was set and got also deactivated somehow)

Systemintegration | Eintrag "Betrachten mit XnView" dem Kontextmenü hinzufügen
Systemintegration | Add Kontextmenu-Entry "View with XnView"
(This checkbox got also deactivated today)

Last week, the configuration for the EXIF Information was reset to the default value, but the change of approx. 10 other settings was kept.

This problem does not occur any longer (since V 1.95)
All settings keep stable, even when a new version is installed.

I have almost identical problem. Ver. 1.97. Today start Viewer and all settings are default. I guess xnview.ini is now by default too. Can you imagine, what feelings I have now Very good, that I have this program on other PC and with the same settings, so just copied xnview.ini with replace. From now on I will make a backup of this file regularly.
