Evidence of Donation

Post by Phred »

I'd like to make a donation to Pierre and his collaborators for his XnV programs but I would like some evidence of my contribution.

I'd like some integrated evidence of my being a donor because:
1. I often forget what programs I've contributed to (and only occasionally do I want to do it repeatedly..)
2. I'd like some visual reminder that I've given the author some funds.
No biggie, but it would be a welcome acknowledgement that I've participated.

Is there some way to add some small 'evidence text' to, say, the title bar, indicating a donation?
In the About box, maybe.
Total Commander, for instance, writes the payer's name or business name submitted when fully registering into the title bar.
TinySpell+ writes the licencee's email address into a Notification Area hover-over popup; a no-no in my book.

'Donated.' in the title bar?

Let's start a revolution.

Thank you for another revolutionary suggestion and your good plan to donate to Pierre, the developer of XnView, Phred. ;)

I second your wish:
Name of licencee, type and/or number of licences, and optionally the licence key should be shown in the about dialog. 'Donated' in the title bar is a bit too much; the title bar should remain clean and tidy.

Example:
Tom Taylor
Donation licence
1 Licence (PC)
FEFE-GAGL-KJIDD-DJKD-DKDY-SDFF

How are we going, Pierre?
A donation 'thank you' marker.
Helmut and I are trying to start a revolution - to your benefit.
I don't mind minimal additional text in title-bar - what about a symbol? A D[tick]* symbol?
*misnamed 'checkmark' to the USAsians.

Is there a 'thank you' international emoji?
