how do i take a picture.tell me in simple steps i clicked on the icon but it did not take a picture.i am computer friendly but i can't figure this out.what do i need to do to take a picture thanks debbie

i don't have that picture where it says take photo how do i get it up on the screen of my lap top.i am sitting in front of my lap top the camera is in front of me.i want to take a picture of myself.how do i get that picture you showed me in your answer.how do i get it on my computer.thanks

Ah...

I'm sorry but the 'Capture' icon referred to above is for taking images of the computer screen in various ways, to make a screenshot like the ones I've used above...

I can't immediately suggest I simple way of capturing an image from your webcam although there probably is one using some other software utility. I keep my webcam turned off! You could try Googling something like 'capture webcam image' or maybe someone else knows of a way?

FI: On some laptops or eepc (ex: asus msi U123) you need to activate first your camera ... (here by keys: Fn+F6) ... then use a software to capture the photo/video (the manufacturer usually provide a such software, and up to date camera drivers)... Please see you laptop notice or documentation first to try your laptop camera... then if it's work ... you can make a try within xnview.
