Bibble 5 Videos

Post by JohnFredC »

There are a lot of good interface ideas in Bibble 5.

The user does not have to leave the browser to edit an image (an approach occasionally discussed in the forum for XnView).

Also, the metadata tree is very powerful for searching and subsetting images.

This video gives a decent overview.

Yes, i have asked about such UI, but it seems that users prefer browser+view...

Which metadata fields are important to store in the DB? (For MP, i extract only IPTC but i can extract some EXIF fields too)

How about both implementations? 8)

For me, there are two phases of metadata use:
  • 1. Immediately after capture when I am looking at the EXIF for things like ISO, shutter speed, camera, etc.
    2. During file organization for post-production and archiving, when I need access to IPTC fields for various purposes.
So... both EXIF and IPTC fields are important to me. It would be hard to select just a few. I use nearly all of the EXIF fields, for instance.

Perhaps it's a good idea to start a topic for MP?

Ok, so i'll add an option to extract all metadata info in DB (can be long)

Yes, I understand. Perhaps you could implement something to let the users select the fields?
