Does Not Confirm File Deletion

I'm using XnView Classic 2.51.7 (Xnview-win-small.exe installation) and whenever I delete a file there is no confirmation popup. Even though the box is checked under "Options->General->File Operations->Confirm File Delete"

No confirmation occurs. If I hit the delete key while sorting through vast amounts of pictures, the picture will just disappear to the recycle bin. I would prefer that this worked. Or maybe I'm not doing something right? Thank you very much for your efforts.

I installed the latest version of XnView Classic 2.52 (xnview-win-small.exe) and there's no confirmation upon file deletion either, just like the previous version.

I have the option checked under "Options>General>File Operations>Confirm File Delete".... that box is checked.

Still no confirmation popup box......

*SOLVED*

I right-clicked on my recycle bin on my desktop, then went to properties, and checked the "display delete confirmation".

I didn't know you had to have that RECYCLE BIN option set for confirmation.
