JPEG2000 j2c interlace field

Post by terabrit »

jpeg2000 j2c interlace field images display as if they were R only. but actually the pixel format is YCbCr, with Cb and Cr being half width.
typically these images are encoded by libopenjpeg, the ffmpeg string is -vcodec libopenjpeg -format 0.
often they are scanned half height at 59.97 images per second, each one is a television field
they are used by the US Library of Congress for archive of NTSC television
I attach one frame and a screenshot

thanks!
