Batch Convert Under Windows (Latest Version of XnView)

When doing a batch convert under Windows to convert one graphic format to another, it affects normal operations in Windows outside of XnView. For example, if I attempt to right-click on a file to view the properties, the menu that normally pops up, promptly disappears. When I attempt to switch applications via Alt-Tab, that menu promptly disappears as well.
