Windows 10 Controlled Folder Access

Post by cloudsandskye »

When attempting to install XnView Minimal 2.45 64-bit and XnViewMP 0.90 64-bit in Windows 10 Pro (version 1709), I keep getting notifications from Windows Defender Security Center about Controlled Folder Access blocking XnView from making changes to the folder %desktopdirectory%\, despite having both programs set up as allowed apps in Controlled folder access (see screenshot).

It is the setup exe that is mentioned in the notifications (see screenshot).
