Resizing palette-based images with bilinear interpolation

Resizing palette-based images with bilinear interpolation produces weird results in XnView v2.40:

Yes, same issue with v2.39 and v2.37, but not in v1.99.6:

The results I get with Bilinear in v1.99.6 and Nearest Neightbour in v2.40 are indeed identical.
