Hi all,
Apologies in advance if this is answered elsewhere. I have searched here to no avail.
I had a catastrophic disk crash and after things were up and running I reinstalled xnview.
Before the crash I used to use a shortcut that copied the current xnview image into GIMP for me.
I have looked at all the options and for the life of me cannot figure out to make this association.
If my memory is working I used to do something like alt-1 to copy the current image to GIMP. I will take anything. I have discovered
the f3 and f4 keys, but can these be reassigned?
TIA for any help.

Re: Associated editor
- Go to Tools → Open With… → Add Program….
- Point XnView to the executable of GIMP.
- Press Alt+1 to open one or more selected/tagged files in GIMP.

Re: Associated editor
Thanks! It worked. I don't know why your solution was not apparent to me earlier. Thanks again.
One more Q. The associated editor is bound to F4. Can this be changed, or is it hardwired?
I tried a "remove all", but F4 was unchanged.

Re: Associated editor
Yes, in XnView Classic the keyboard shortcuts are hardcoded. (There's a somewhat complicated workaround, though.)
In XnView MP, they're customizable.
BTW: I also tried to answer your question dated May 31st. Better late than never…
