Filter images by a given list

Post by GoTeamScotch »

Hello, I just discovered xnview tonight and I've been enjoying it a lot so far. I am using it to view textures for a video game and a problem I'm running into is that I need to be able to filter the list of images in a folder I'm looking at and I'm not sure how to do that (or if it's supported at all). I have a folder containing 5,000 images and I have a txt file containing about 200 files from that folder that I'm interested in viewing. I know I can select images by hand and assign them to a category, but is there a way to accomplish this programmatically? Can I edit the database directly? Or import a list of files+filepaths that have their categories defined for each image file and have xnview digest that category information for my images?

Any help is appreciated!

If you know sqlite, XnView uses it to store information
