I have installed XnView installed on Windows 10 (edition Pro, version 1709, build 16299.371). I want to set the file associations as "The most used" like I had set on Windows 7.
Running XnView as administrator I go into: Tools -> Options -> System integration -> Associations
The options "The most used", "Add all", "Restore all" are all greyed out . Only "Windows file associations" button can be clicked and when clicked it says "To change your default apps, go to Settings > Apps > Default apps"
So I go to Settings -> Apps -> Default apps. Under "Set defaults by app" I can see XnView but:
- There are much less file associations possible here than inside the XnView app (as a random examples: .apng does not exist for PNGs, .pic does not exist - they are both in the "The most used" list in XnView)
- There is no way to select "The most used" which it what I want
Do I really have to associate each extension manually for "The most used" one by one by creating a file with that extension and then right clicking, open with, etc. There are at least 50 file extensions in the "The most used" list!!!
Thanks for any help!
