Kodak .k25 files distorted (stretched)

When I open a file taken with a Kodak DC25 digital camera in .k25 format the picture appears to be stretched out. The pictures are originally stored as 120 pixels/inch dpi, with a width of 493 and height of 373.

When I open them in XnView, they have a width of 500 and a height of 241, with what appears to be 68 pixels/inch resolution.

Any ideas?
