I am confused at the moment, but maybe I messed up my XnView preferences somehow.
If I open an image in a directory and go to the next image (via keyboard or mouse or buttons), not the next image is shown, but some random one (same happens in Quick Slide Show where "next" is selected). But the order is always the same (wrong one).
E.g. a directory with five images, the showing order is always:
a01.jpg => a04.gif => a02.jpg => a05.jpg => a03.jpg (I did "remove all meta data" on each file and set the created/modified time to the same one).
PS: Is there no "Always on Top" trigger besides the option in the preferences?
Image showing order messed up?

Re: Image showing order messed up?
Welcome. Which version are you using?
- It reads like what would be expected while using beta v.0.39(mp).
For beta: I would close program, locate hidden file named ".XnViewSort" in images folder, delete it, and start over.
For v.1.9x: I would close program, locate xnview.ini, rename it, and start over.

Re: Image showing order messed up?
Sorry, forgot to mention that I use the last stable (1.98.8 ). Restarting with a new INI doesn't somehow, but then I uninstalled XnView, deleted all remaining stuff and reinstalled it. Now it seems to work . I don't know what went wrong there (and where)...
