Re: XnView Shell Extension
I just tried in a brand new installation in virtualbox (Win10 1809 RS5 october update).
as a try i just unpacked the zip to the desktop, run the register.bat and tried rotating an image - it worked.
when i tried previously (1709), i could not get the register.bat to work - with an error message about failed call to RegSvr32 - I registered it manually which did work.
one more thing, i'm also running filemenutools, a context menu application (a must have) - but i never had conflicts with it..
will continue exploring - thanks Pierre

Re: XnView Shell Extension
Ok, i clean installed windows 10 1809 (x64) on my main pc (can you believe i did all this just for xnview shell!)
strangely it still did not work. then i deleted the registry key and right clicked again - this time the menu worked. however it is not consistent: If i R-click on a JPG some items will work and some won't:
convert into = ok (any format)
convert... = not working (works for other formats)
resize = not working (works for other formats)
rotate = not working (works for other formats)
options = not working (works for other formats)
so, not sure what is going on here but hope it may help

Re: XnView Shell Extension
Hi! Thanks for an awesome little program. It's one of the first things I install after reinstalling Windows.
I was wondering, what are the chances of XnShell supporting SVGs?

Re: XnView Shell Extension
Hello,
I have installed latest version of XnView Classic with Shell Extension.
I can see thumbnails and miniatures from CDR files in XnView but not in Explorer.
Is there a way to correct this ?
Kind regards
Frederic

To do this, need download "libwebp.dll"
https://www.opendll.com/index.php?file- ... t&version=#
And place it in the "Plugins" folder

Hello!
Is it possible to make sure that the CMYK color space is not converted to RGB?
This conversion occurs with significant color distortion.

I installed WebP Codec for Windows 0.19, because I uninstalled an app that made Windows show thumbs of that format, but I forgot the app's name. Since I uninstalled it, Windows didn't show them anymore. Now it does.
I just installed XnViewShellEx 4.0.7, and downloaded libwebp.dll, but couldn't find a Plugins folder in C:\Program Files\XnView\ShellEx. Should I create one?
I copied the dll to the ShellEx folder, but it didn't do. Should I restart the PC for that to work?
Besides, the Readme file inside the dll's zip reads:
Q: Where should i put the file i just download?
A: There are few places commonly use to to put the dll,ocx and vxd file:
- for 32bit dll: c:\Windows\system32 or c:\Windows or the root directory of the affected application
- for 16bit dll: c:\Windows\system or c:\Windows or the root directory of the affected application
Should I copy the dll to some Windows system folder?
TIA.

Yes. You must create a folder "Plugins" and put the libwebp.dll in it.by Paultx wrote:I just installed XnViewShellEx 4.0.7, and downloaded libwebp.dll, but couldn't find a Plugins folder in C:\Program Files\XnView\ShellEx. Should I create one?
