Do you mean one big setup.exe (setup package) or one big xnview.exe (for execution)? I guess you mean the setup package. One big xnview.exe does not make much sense, because loading and start-up would take too long if everything was included into one executable.

The Complete version which you will find on the Official download page contains some of the plugins and addons, available. But from what I can see there is no version which contains all plugins and addons avaiable. And be aware that the complete version contains the English help document, only. Help documents in other languages are not included and most downloaded separately.

@Pierre:
Could you please give a precise information which plugins and addons are included in the Complete version?

By the way, can I simply create the AddOn subdirectory if it is not there and put the addons there? I didn't install the complete version, so I don't have this subdirectory yet.

In your xnview.ini, try to remove the [plugins] section

That works. I haven't been able to use the plugin either, but I just figured it was a "read only" plugin.

EDIT: I must say I'm less than impressed with the format. It really isn't any better than plain old JPG, and distinctly worse than JPEG2000. Compress an image to about 3% of it's uncompressed size (or about 1/3 the size of a high quality JPG), this is the point where compression artifacts really become noticeable. The HDphoto image will have very blocky artifacts and lose a lot of detail in some areas, JPG with full subsampling enabled will have crappy looking reds but everything else will have less artifacting that the HDphoto one, JPG with no subsampling will have decent looking reds but about the same ammount of artifacting as the HDphoto, JPEG2000 will have decent looking reds far less artifacting and much less loss of detail, it's only drawback is it's slow compression speed.
Here's my comparison: http://rapidshare.com/files/32635854/HD ... arison.rar

Same thing here.

Deleting the following line from the [plugins] section of xnview.ini did the trick on my installation:

Code: Select all

23=Xwmp.dll|262|wmp|WMP|wdp;hdp;
Obviously it was left behind by an earlier version of xwmp.dll. The next time I started XnView, version v1.90.4 of the plugin created a new entry:

Code: Select all

23=Xwmp.dll|772|wmp|HD Photo|wdp;hdp;

I've added a FTP addon, and uploaded a new version of Paint

The paint plugin appears to be bug free so far.

I can't get the FTP plugin to work though. I extracted it to the addons folder, opened an image, but can't find the ftp option in view mode.

EDIT: I found it in the browser mode after remembering that the menus are often different. I take it it's only available in browser mode? Can it be made to be available in viewer mode?
