Improve slideshow (black bars on portrait photos)

Thank you very much for a great viewer! I wonder if you'd agree to make Slideshow look a bit better on big screen HDTV. For portrait photos can we replace left/right black bars with something else? Ideally it would look similar to what TV stations do: same photo zoomed up 2x, strongly blurred and with reduced contrast. I understand on large photos these operations may take significant time so some optimization may be required:

- blur only areas of the photo which will be visible
- zoom up these areas by pixel replication
- apply contrast
(all done while waiting for slideshow timeout)

Also would be nice to have options to zoom portrait photos by 0..20% and apply horizontal stretch by 0..20% default (10/10) allows to minimize L/R bars - most photos don't have important features on very top/bottom and allow minor horizontal stretch to be unnoticeable
