yet another wishlist (small issues, really)

Post by mrQQ »

Greetings,

thanks for all the effort!

here are remaining small issues that i would love to see added/fixed:

1. read ahead still seems to be broken. sometimes, even if I wait for some time before advancing to next image, it still shows a progress bar and has a delay loading it. if it would be decoded in memory, it would load immediatelly (perhaps have an option to do the resampling again, so that it doesnt need to do that?). sometimes it works fine though. perhaps it would be nice to have two progress bars - one which shows loading of current image, and then second one which shows "reading ahead", so that you know when it's ready, and if it's ready :0

ability to define number of images to read ahead/keep behind would be very nice..

oh, while at it - it's nice that "resize, show, then resample" works while in browser, but it would be really nice to have it work in stand alone mode aswell..

2. when in viewer mode, pressing ctrl+b - would be nice if browser would open in same location as image you're viewing..

3. ability to disable "folder tabs" completely (did i miss it?)

4. show exif maker notes.. :)

so much for now i think :)

oh, few tiny ones more:

when viewing exif info, right click and copy to clipboard - doesn't put new line chars, so you get one huge line on clipboard

and

hotkey for rotate based on exif :)

3. ability to disable "folder tabs" completely (did i miss it?)
2. Options > Browser > "Synchronize Browser..."

3. Menu > View > Folder tabs (to hide)
- Options > View > Only one view opened
- and maybe - Options > General > enable option "Open one view per selected image"

Anyway, there should be an option to hide Folder tabs also in Options > "Folder tabs".

as for 3. i found it - view > only one view opened. now when i press ctrl+b the current image view is gone, so no folder tabs are opened.

as for 2. it was the first setting i've tried, unfortunately it still opens in wrong dir (last one i browsed, i think).

Thank you, mrQQ for your suggestions! Please make sure that you place single requests rather than a wish list, next time. This will be more work for you but will be much easier for people to answer. Please also see topic "Rules and Guidelines".

oh i'm terribly sorry for not reading the rules beforehand.. but well, i was more or less sure it's not something i missed, but something that would need to be added, so it's not really like other users can help (other than agreeing/disagreeing with my wishes :)

but you're right, i wont make same mistake anymore!

It's not too bad. ;-) Several individual topics simply make the handling easier and you will get more answers.

Yes, it was bug in 1.80.2.
