Ability to save the current layout (with unique name)

Post by uberfly »

When using the fantastic XNView, I change the current layout based on the task I am doing. It would be great to be able to save window/frame position, thumbnail size, maybe toolbars under named profiles. Maybe the current work around is saving custom ini files and swapping them out based on need - i will have to try this. I noticed when changing thumbnail size for some task and you try to return to your personal "default" layout (thumbnail size), if you don't return thumbnail size to the exact settings/dimentions that were there previously all thumbnails will have to be re-generated. Can be time consuming for large image archives. Keep up the great work.

You could make a specific feature request for that, if necessary as a separate thread...

You might look at Info > Command line help... which has a switch to start XnView with a specified .ini file:

You could probably use the -ini <file> option to create alternative shortcuts that start the program with different ini settings... :D
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
