Slow viewing when navigating

xnview is too slow when cycling through high-resolution images. it takes for me about 2-3 sec. to get next image and it's slow even with high quality disabled (both options keep next and previous image in memory enabled). acdsee loads images almost instantly and is really fast when cycling, no matter what resolution you have. could this be improved in future versions?
