I support these layouts even though I may never use them.
Looking back at the layout bugs we had in 1.80, these will need lots of testing.

I like boot, also it can be made a variant of the filmstrip using #1

Fully customizable layouts would be great (Maybe not in 1.81, but at some point...).
XnView Tweak UI - Tool to customize your XnView beyond the regular XnView options.
UI-less Settings - Documentation of all the hidden settings in XnView.
XFAM - Tool to create and customize XnView file associations.

I think my suggestions would be easy to implement since they are not special layouts like "Filmstrip".
