Hello All,
First of all I'm using 1.80 RC6.
Now the issue I'm having is that when I double click a text file in the browser it views it internally instead of launching the system associated application. I very much prefer my default text editor over the internal viewer. Their are options to force XnView to use the default media players for various audio and video formats, but I cannot find any such option for text files. Could somebody tell me either how to change this, or if this is how it works?
Regards,

When I try and open a text file with XnView 1.80.1 all I get is a "Format of the file <filename> could not be determined." error message. I also tried with the "Use all formats" option as well, no go.
Workaround:
Assign your favourite text editor to the "Open With" menu and use that for now.

You could read (and support) this request - Open all non image files in associated program.
Oberon Prime, please download a new version of XnView - www.xnview.com.
