REQ: Move picture cursor

Post by EgoSun »

This hand-cursor doesn't look good. It's better to use system move-cursor or at least a better one.

Do you mean the move cursor (four directions) or the pointing cursor (pointing hand)?

I don't want to move images with my pointing finger, only, and the move cursor is used for moving selection, already. So I'd prefer the current hand cursor, even if I admit that it could look nicer...

Yes, the pointing hand could be better. But I don't understand where the "four directions" cursor is used in xnview, I can't move selection at all.

You can either:
a - Make a selection and then press Ctrl to see the move cursor and move the selection
or
b - If you need to move the selection often, change option "Left mouse button in selection" to "Move selection" in category "View > Keyboard/Mouse" of the options.

Thanks for explanation, the "a" variant works, but the "b" doesn't - I don't have "move selection" option there. Anyway, changing the hand cursor to four-directons cursor doesn't affect anything, you can still move selection with the last one without a risk being confused.
