I'm asking because I would like to run XnView registered from USB stick. I don't wanna register it on other machines.

Btw: The content of the "Thank you" window is'n shown properly.

I guess it should read "Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für XnView entschieden haben!" or something like this ...

No matter for you---

:) Again…

• It doesn't matter that your XnView in a USB-stick doesn't show the registration, that doesn't restrict the functions…
- Since you have purchased a licence, you are OK, anyway !

• About the truncated message :
- It looks like a Windows standard message, obviously it needs an extra line with a wrapping, but with the DLLs…
… Only the messages having their own dialogue-box GUI in the resources can be enlarged easily.
- I could check this, but I guess that Pierre and Helmut could (perhaps) find a solution for a next version…
EDIT ::: I confirm, that's a Win message there is only the string in the ressources as:
Registrierung erfolgreich.\n\nVielen Dank dass Sie sich für XnView entschieden haben.
- To fit in the box, maybe could it be changed as :
Registrierung erfolgreich.\nVielen Dank dass Sie sich für\nXnView entschieden haben.

I know. Still, it would be nice to be able to "register" XnView in its ini file. XnView simply should follow the setting in the preferences (System integration/Save options). If "as INI ..." is selected, the key should be saved there too!

Not just that, there's also a comma missing:
Registrierung erfolgreich.\nVielen Dank, dass Sie sich für\nXnView entschieden haben.

You can enter the registration in Start section of .ini

Cool! HOW does it need to be entered?

Why isn't it done automatically by XnView if "INI" file is selected as place?

Almost all companies that use xnview use registry for security reason

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

• I added these indications in the ON LINE MANUAL with a warning (at the bottom of the chapter)…
- Also in the CHM versions to download (English and French).
- I hope that this warning is suitable ?

Darn, there's some sort of encoding/security check involved. I was going to have some fun putting in a false registration name & number. :p

No, the source code is not available. The license allows you to use XnView in a company.

Price for many licences

Post by Peter2 »

I started to think about the prices, and IMHO there is a question on buying many licences... :?:

Example a:
80 licences - 9.5 Euro: 80 * 9,5 = 760 Euro
100 licences - 6 Euro: 100 * 6 = 600 Euro

Example b:
80 licences:- 1 * 26 + 8 * 23 + 10 * 20 + 30 * 17 + 31 * 9.5 = 1214.50 Euro
100 licences: 1 * 26 + 8 * 23 + 10 * 20 + 30 * 17 + 50 * 9.5 + 1 * 6 = 1401 Euro

What is the right calculation?
a) The more licences the cheaper the price (always per lic, sometimes totally)?
b) The more licences the cheaper the price (always per lic, never totally)?

Regards

Peter
