Feature Request: Combine Navigation Buttons

Post by Akovia »

It would be fantastic for usability if the navigation buttons could be combined to be in the same area in the UI, instead of being spaced far apart. I have an ultra-wide monitor, which makes it worse, but even when I am not maximized, it's frustrating to navigate around having the buttons in different places.

This is my layout in full screen, and you can see that the back and forward buttons are nowhere near the go up button. I have looked in the menu layouts and haven't figured out how to get them any closer. If I've overlooked something, I apologize.

I see what you mean. Drag handles would be nice
My workaround is to edit the main toolbar adding the commands I want and arranging them.

Or just put the up icon with the others ... OR move the icon bar to the left
Or do what I did and build a toolbar just the way you want it. :mrgreen:

Yes.
That would be perfect.

@Rick,
I don't know where you are arranging your toolbar commands. When I go to Settings > Interface > Toolbar, It only lets me customize the toolbar above the toolbar I'm talking about. The options are Browse Mode, and View Mode. Neither have the buttons for the toolbar I linked a picture of. Is there another place to customize this?

AFAIK you can't customize the bar in your picture but you CAN add buttons to the top bar and if you wish make another tool bar with whatever you want on it

Thanks for the reply Rick.

I see now what you mean. That is certainly an alternative, but I'm hoping that Pierre will be able to either combine them on the existing toolbar, or give us access to arrange the buttons on that toolbar.

Cheers

What isn't obvious and I should have mentioned is that I was able to adjut the TOP bar adding things like the up arrow and moving all the arrows into a place of my liking and adding batch convert as I use that a lot
