0.83: Bad video playing (deinterlacing?)
m2ts video files outputted by my camera will not play correctly in XnView MP on Windows. f.e. Windows Media Player and Potplayer have no problems with it. Video play sort of blurry with all kinds of lines displayed. I'm guessing it has something to do with deinterlacing as i read somewhere these files are 25 or 30p wrapped in 60i interlacing. Can this be fixed in a future version or otherwise maybe an option to play video files in external player?

Re: Bad video playing (deinterlacing?)
could you try to change for videoMode=true in xnview.ini?

Re: Bad video playing (deinterlacing?)
I have currently no videoMode entry in my xnview.ini file (in appdata\roaming).
So can i add it and if so at what section?

I just looked up in the .ini file. Is it correct that General section is named [%General] (please note the percentage character) in the .ini file?xnview wrote:you should have it in General section

Re: Bad video playing (deinterlacing?)
Yes found it, thanks.
But changing this setting has as effect the movie won't play anymore. No error message, but screen stays blank with video control below...
Btw sometimes i get an message when double clicking an m2ts video from the browser: This picture will be converted to RGB with 8bits per component. After clickink Ok, the video will play (with the mentioned play problem)

Same on my computer (Windows 10 64x): .mst videos are played but one can much see the interlacing. When viewing these images on a Panasonic TV they look just fine. VideoMode=false (=default).

the problem seems to be in QtAVhelmut wrote:Same on my computer (Windows 10 64x): .mst videos are played but one can much see the interlacing. When viewing these images on a Panasonic TV they look just fine. VideoMode=false (=default).

Re: Bad video playing (deinterlacing?)
Your sample "simpleplayer.exe" also shows the interlacing, so it's very sure that it's a problem of QtAV. Could you please make a support request at the QT company? What do we do about this reproduced problem? Do you want to keep it here in "Reproduced" or do should it be moved to "Postponed"?xnview wrote:the problem seems to be in QtAVhelmut wrote:Same on my computer (Windows 10 64x): .mst videos are played but one can much see the interlacing.
