I've tried it out to send a 1704*1152 px image file
I set it to resize to 1024*768, and the resulting image had a resolution of 1024*692, so it keeped the AR of the original image, although no "keep aspect ratio" checkbox is available...

I'm doing the italian translation of XnView MP. I've downloaded the tool indicated in the XnView MP section (Qt Linguist)

Worked around by activating Win XP SP3 compatibility mode for XnView

I'm using Windows 7 RTM Professional, and I can't enable the shell extension. As soon as I go back to the settings dialog where the checkbox for shell extension is, I see it's unchecked!
I'm using the zip version and saving XnView's preferences to its folder.

Anyone can help me?

What about some expression using image related variables, such as path, filename, size, bit depth, etc ?

At a minimum MP needs to behave exactly like 1.9x. I do not see any benefit to reinventing a wheel that has been so well invented previously. This is not to say that extended behaviors are not desirable... they certainly are. But XnView MP's "base-line" behaviors should emulate 1.9x before extended...
