Video player stutters

Hi there, on my SSD equipped machine I can look any video with Windows 7 Media Payer without any kind of hang, micro-stutter or small stop. You might be familiar with the effect that when starting a video after one or two seconds there is at least one small stop where some buffers seem to need to ke...

Re: Hi-Quality Zoom not working

Is there a reason why the hi-quality zoom bug described above is constantly ignored by Pierre? He not have two monitors? It's again not adressed in 1.971. Really disappointing... I can't reproduce it I dare to say - impossible. I have never seen a two monitor machine where the browser is on the lef...

Hi-Quality Zoom not working

Hello, I reported this already a long time ago, and still no comment and no fix. The fact is that XnView includes two different Fullscreen views. - One is via F11 and works without interpolation (no hi-quality zoom) when started from a selected pic in the browser. That's the bug. - The other one is ...

Re: Thumbnail db

Of course there were versions of Defraggler that made problems. Same for every software, including XnView. Check the history listing. The current version is more than stable and includes lots of features that a command line version will never have.

Re: Thumbnail db

Download the freeware Defraggler from Piriform. It allows you to defragment only xnview.db file in blazing speed. Quicker than complaining here and waiting for an improvement...

Re: New forum software (phpBB 3.0)

the forum was fine then, the forum is fine now too. So how comes that when I click on a thread with unread posts it opens on top of page 1 instead of the page with the unread posts? So how comes the unread marks are not reset when I visit the forum but not the specific thread? Both worked before. F...

Re: folder tree

Isn't the Favourites function used for exactly that? I use it that way.

xnview wrote:So which is the best.
Old style like subsilver2
or new style but greyed like Prosilver
I vote for Subsilver2 as Prosilver has the same strange icons as the current one.

Re: New forum software (phpBB 3.0)

So after some time reading here I still don't like the new board software. The thing that annoys me the most at this time is: - someone changed the order in the forum overview. I now have to scroll down to see if there is news in the 1.96 section. Before that was all on my monitor together with the ...

Not sure if this helps you, but JPG-Illuminator (freeware, german only) shows a histogramm and has a button beside it to show under- and overexposed parts within the pic. Works very good. A feature like this (at least manually triggered) should be easy to add to XnView...or maybe it can do this alre...
