Re: <Picture sorting function suggestion>——very important
Have you checked whether a combination of the options available in the browser View > Sort by menu would meet your requirements?

Re: 1.6.4: Default/Last Path reverts to Program folder
As a default XnView opens with the last used folder. Practical solution. Yes... :D But if that folder doesn't exist anymore it will open the program folder. Unpractical as unlikely anyone is checking for pictures in that folder. Suggestion: Default to the pictures folder or have a settings which fo...

Re: Zoom back the image to fit screen
when you zoom in/out, the 'auto image size' change to 'No fit'. The only way is to set it again with menu or shortcut Ah! Might it not it be better to leave the menu value unchanged, so that it applies to subsequent images without having to be reset every time an image on the screen is zoomed? A fa...

Re: Change the language
In Windows and Linux, Tools > Settings... provides access to many settings (some users might think too many, but they have mostly been requested by other users... ), so I am sure that there is a way of accessing Settings on a Mac...

Re: Change the language
Looks like a Mac interface issue unless the interface has indeed been changed, I only use Windows (when I have to...) and Linux, and I don't rush to install new releases... Edit: I think this issue has arisen before fairly recently, a different location in Macs, but I haven't been able to fin...

Re: Change the language
You don't have Tools > Settings... , it should be available in both the file browser and the editor/viewer, unless the interface has been changed which is unlikely?
Try the shortcut F12 ...

Re: About writing a file type support plugin.
Just a thought: XnView Classic is 32-bit, are you testing the plugin you created on XnView MP 32-bit?

Re: Apply curve with NConvert
Not currently supported as far as I know...
But you could request that support be added, and Pierre has been in the past responded to a number of requests to port XnView functions to NConvert, although I'm not sure how easy it would be to add support for the curves function?

Re: Next File-Button shows previous file
... the default Previous and Next button (and keyboard) actions should be the reverse of the present defaults?? For me it works: if numbered in ascending mode, the 'Next' button loads the next file in ascending order. Confirmed in Windows, my Linux Mint setting, or at least some of them, probably a...

Re: Running XnView Classic in Linux using Virtual Box on Windows computer
Your question is not directly related to XnView Classic or XnView MP?
Wouldn't be better to request help on the Virtual Box forum or a Debian forum?

Do you mean XnView Classic, or possibly XnView MP for which there are Linux versions available?

Re: Save As function does not refresh or reload the saved image
Save as... saves the image that was opened with any edits as a new image, immediately displaying the new image in the same tab, if that is what you suggest, would result in any unsaved changes to the original image being lost, which might be unwanted. It would also prevent further changes being mad...
