Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong

Thank you for the fast response ! Mr. Pierre, There is a Zoom command called "Real size" (XnView-Standard). When I click on it Zoom ratio is set to 38% for a 250 dpi picture. I think this ratio depends on screen resolution (???). On my monitor actually it has to be 40% - not 38% as it is by default ...

Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong

File is here as attachment. Screenshots are made in Windows7-64bit and results are same as in Windows 8 64-bit. I'm still using XnView-standard more. Please make xnViewMP menubar detachable and resizable as any toolbar - this will save a lot of space in menu/toolbar rows for minimalistic idiots like...

0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong

XnViewMP 0.64 on windows 8.1-64 bit
Image size (in centimeters) for thumbnail labels and tooltips is wrong.
For example same file in:
XnView - 16.00 x 21.00 cm
XnViewMP - 15.24 x 20.32 cm
Photoshop - 16.00 x 21.00 cm

0.61: Toolbar position lost when closing "Settings" dialog

(xnViewMP v0.61 on Windows7 x64)
Drag the toolbar on the left side in vertical position, go to Tools > Settings, make some changes and click OK in settings dialog.
Toolbar will jump into default horizontal position, instead of keeping previously defined vertical position.

Re: Customizable Menubar ?

OK m.Th.
I think I understand your arguments, and they are right.
Good solution will be "menu in a (draggable) toolbar" as you show it.
If next to it we can put toolbar - everything will be OK.
And lot of space will be saved.

Re: Customizable Menubar ?

... I meant to put the menu in a (draggable) toolbar... I think this is a very good solution, yes ! ...What would happen if I had my own home-made menu layout? I will ask you to share it with us. And where is your dark theme for XnView 2.00 - (I use minimal zip version of xnView) BTW - There is a s...

Re: Customizable Menubar ?

Istm that you don't want exactly a customizable menu but rather to have the main menu in a toolbar in order to use the entire space available. Usually this can be achievable with more or less effort (I don't know how Qt handles this) but the general GUI design rules strongly discourage this behavio...

Customizable Menubar ?

1. Is it possible menubar to be customizable ? Now it occupies entire row and is locked, this is wasted space. If toolbar can be placed in same row with menubar will be better, or at least to allow adding buttons and commands in menubar next to default menu. 2. I use tree view with vertical tabs. Do...

Re: Paths to Thumbnail cache

Playing with paths I made a "discovery" Relative paths can be used. If I choose "Custom" location for cached thumbnails and type ./Cashe-1 data will be inside of subfolder of the default "cache" folder. And portable mode will be preserved. If somebody want's to run different ini configurations this ...

Paths to Thumbnail cache

I use XnView in Portable mode > All settings in XnView directory. My first question is: Is it possible to use 2 different XnView.db for thumbnails? ( For example - 1 configuration with small thumbnails +1 with big and both to keep cache in default XnView folder - something like XnView-1.db and XnVie...

XnView is an excellent viewer! Simple, beautiful and fast - everything one needs.
As I mention above I'm a ThumbsPlus user. ThumbsPlus is very good program too but needs total rearrangement and simplification of its complicated interface.

A lot of thanks for the creators of XnView .

Currently, the options support a maximum of 320x200pixel, only (btw: Why not 320x320?) In RC3 size is corrected to 320x320 px The user interface can be changed, but I think the slider control has to be removed, then, since it gets too coarse if the maximum is something like 1024. A simple edit fiel...
