0.39: Show or hide Info pane

Suggestion: There should be a menu entry and a keyboard shortcut to show or hide the Info pane.

Now there is View > Tree pane > Show, but not View > Info pane > Show.

XnView MP: Rotate images according to EXIF orientation tag

Tested with XnView MP 0.38.7 win32 1. Checking the option "Rotate image based on EXIF orientation" (in Tools > Settings > General > General) has no immediate effect on the thumbnails (but on the preview). View > Refresh (or F5) does not help. When switching to another directory and back, the thumbna...

Re: 1.94.2: Option "Rotate images based on EXIF orientation

In version 1.98.2 (2011-07-19) this bug is still present. :(

Pressing Ctrl+R on the keyboard refreshes the view correctly, while "View > Refresh" from the menu doesn't.

MP 0.33 Linux: File names in Thumbnails view always bold

In MP 0.33 Linux, the file names in "Thumbnails" view mode are always displayed in bold, even if in the settings a non-bold font is selected.

When selecting the "Thumbnails + Labels" view mode, the non-bold fonts are working.

Tested on Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit.

Re: xnview.sh infinitely eats memory (fixed xnview.sh includ

This code is now included in XnViewMP v0.33, but unfortunately it doesn't work if xnview.sh is called from another directory or via more than one link. :( Fortunately, there is a "-e" option in readlink to get the canonical path (see "man readlink"). :D With this enhancement and putting the whole pa...

Re: Lossless rotate question

Lossless means no loss of image quality. :o There are two methods for lossless rotation of JPEG images: 1. Reorganising the JPEG blocks (and resetting the EXIF orientation tag to the default value "1" if necessary). Drawback: Works only then really lossless if the image size is an integer multiple o...

Re: Lossless rotate question

The current display of the options is misleading. You cannot use them independently.

Re: Lossless rotate question

The current options look like this (v1.97.8): [ ] Change EXIF orientation ONLY when possible (JPEG) [ ] Use Lossless rotation when possible (JPEG) This is unclear and misleading, because the change of the EXIF orientation tag is a special case of a lossless rotation and not independent. Therefore, t...
