How many Browser windows/instances possible ???

The F1 Help must be a bit dated, as it states that only a single Browser can be open. https://www.xnview.com/wiki/index.php/XnView_%28Windows%29_User_Guide Just to see what happened, with one Browser open, I wheel-clicked the task-bar icon four times and immediately had five usable Browser windows. ...

Categories/Keyword Tagging ???

I have the most recent version of XnView. I may be wrong, but my understanding is that "Categories" is what most programs call Keyword Tags. Try as I may, I have not been able to figure out how to create new tags/categories and also sub-tags/categories; is this possible; and if so, how ? Thanks for ...

Using keyword-tags in both MP and Classic

There has to be good reason why there are two versions, MP and Classic; taking that into consideration, if I have both installed on my Windows 7 machine, keyword-tag wise, will one version recognize whatever may have been done in the other version including the tag tree heirarchy ? So many image org...

Export Slideshow as Movie File

On the add-ons/plug-ins page, third add-on from the top, it says "export slideshow as a movie file" https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=11715 Does XnViewMP also have this capability, or is it only for Classic ? What movie file format(s) ? Is it quick, or does it take a long time to ren...

XnView Extended ???

XnView Extended says it has "all plug-ins and add-ons"; is there a list and description of these ? I see no "Extended" option in the XnViewMP downloads; are these plug-ins and add-ons already included in XnViewMP; are they available separately; or, do these plug-ins and add-ons not exist for XnViewM...

Update Catalog From Files ???

In the "view" menu, there are two commands --- "update catalog from files" and "update files from catalog"; what do these commands do and how does the one differ from the other ? Re: Time Display Preferences ???

Hi BuckSkin :-) The “tooltips” (mouse-over-thumbnail display) can be customized by editing the text field THANK YOU !!!; that was a huge help; I accomplished just what I wanted; plus, I got the bonus of having the actual day of the week included. I had no idea that the day name could be added into ...

Re: XnConvert NConvert Not the Same Thing ???

Thanks.

Just looking at the NConvert screenshot gives the impression of a steep learning curve.

I had best stick with the easier stuff for now.

Re: XnConvert NConvert Not the Same Thing ???

Thanks.

So, does XnConvert and NConvert do the same things, just with a different approach; or do they accomplish different things ?

Sorry for so many questions.

XnConvert NConvert Not the Same Thing ???

The answer may have been staring me in the face, but I did not see it.

At first glance, I thought XnConvert and NConvert were one and the same; but, I am beginning to think that they are two different programs.

Please explain or point me toward the explanation.

Many thanks.
