Move file one level up

There is this little green arrow that brings me one level up when I double click it.
It would be handy if it could be added that when I drag and drop files onto that arrow that they get copied/moved to one level up.

Update timestamp on open file

Can we have an option to update the timestamp "last accessed" when the file has been successfully launched from within XNVIEWMP either through doubleclick or customized application?

Warn if not empty

Sometimes a folder appears to be empty while it is in fact not. For example: In thumbnail mode a folder shows 4 icons of its content. But it does not show these icons if the folder contains subfolders. So it is easy to delete a folder full of files/subfolders easily. Solution would be to implement a...

"Move to" dialog: Add "current folder" button

Can we get a shortcut for "current folder" in the move to dialog? When in a folder and want to simply create a subfolder and move selected images into it, it would be handy to have a button that selects the current folder in the move to dialog. Currently I have to search the current folder in the fo...

Re: Tagging (categories)

I separately came to think of the same idea. As a result, I also suggest an 'auto-tagging' feature, albeit in a different name, in a freshly made thread. Though I fleshed out the idea a bit more by adding delimiters, a whitelist/blacklist, etc... I can only hope to see this kind of thing implemente...

Coloured folders

Sometimes I wish I could see which folders have been thumbnailed already and which haven´t. Could we have a colour option to display thumbnailed folders in a different colour?

Re: Make a New Folder and Name It

I even suggest to go a step further and incorperate something like this: http://www.howtogeek.com/125360/how-to-create-a-folder-from-selected-files-in-windows/ This little tool lets me select a number of file and move them into subfolders which I can name or which get named automatically based on ru...

Tagging (categories)

I think the tagging system is outdated and should get a major overhaul. I believe it would be much easer to use if: 1. No more right click and trying to find the correct category from the context menu 2. The category icon which can be displayed on top of a thumbnail should be clickable and open the ...

no error in the changed path in database? No, the weird thing is I do not change anything. All I do at this point is exporting it and importing it. I do not touch the data and change something. I would assume that I should be able to export the data and import them again whithout any issues. This i...

Sqlite Browser

I have a strange issue with Sqlite Browser. I need to change folder paths manually as I am moving files outside of XnviewMP. Now when I export the Folders from xnview.db and import them without changing anything and check inside XnviewMP then the categories are no longer working. In fact, before exp...

Re: Keyword vs Category

- "Keyword" > "Category" In XnView you can assign categories to images. Formerly, these categories were named keywords. But now that we have "category sets", the term "keywords" does no longer make sense. I might be wrong, but atm think that all occurrences of "keyword" should be replaced with "cat...

Make context menu customizable

I would like to see the option to add and remove context menu items to my liking. There are 2 suggestions coming with it: 1. From Windows Explorer you know the option to hold shift key while doing a right click. This expands the context menu and shows additional options. Something like this would be...
