Re: [Feature request] Trim selected sides

The actions Crop and Canvas resize both provide options to crop from a nominated edge, does one of those meet your needs? :D

In XnConvert (or Batch convert in XnView MP) you can also program multiple instances of an action, if you need to trim more than one side.

NConvert 7.00 - Bug when output filename contains a numeric enumerator

NConvert 7.00 introduced a bug when the numeric enumerator # is used in an output filename. In the code below, which outputs renumbered copies of four files in a folder Test: Expected result: output files numbered 001 002 003 004 Actual result: output files numbered 003 004 005 006 D:\Desktop\Test>n...

Re: Support multicore CPUs

You are using XnView Classic?

The newer XnView MP has at least some support for multi-core processing, I believe, if not the priority is likely to be to add it to that program...

Re: Why XnView?

Looking for the best image viewer. What are the advantages of using XnView please? You don't seem to have made much progress since your 2016 request: XnView Minimal, Standard, or Extended ? What is XnView MP? ! If you just need an image viewer that you like, why not try some of the available option...

Re: Learning materials

I have recommended XnView to a group of retired "students" and created a demand for training/workshops. The group has very limited knowledge of IT. I am looking for relevant materials for the group and found some in Danish, but very old. Do you have knowledge of any materials, English or Nordic, I ...

Re: XnView Default Sorting

I tried now the "Sort by folder" in XnView. But it is only alphabetically (and there are differences with small letters - not the same sort as in the folder) and also not change if i change the explorer to sort by date. "Sort by folder" ?? You are looking at the browser View > Sort by options? I do...

Re: Way to set dwg file display resolution?

@XnTriq : Doesn't 32-bit XnView MP normally require 32-bit plugins and addons, and XnView MP 64-bit normally require 64-bit addons and plugins? That holds true for Ghostscript. Earlier versions of 64-bit MP didn't like 64-bit Photoshop-compatible filter plugn-ins , and ... [/url]. But as a general ...

why you can't change the default sorting in XnView?
@christiandull :

In the browser you have View > Sort by which provides alternative orders, does this not provide sort as in Explorer?

Re: Way to set dwg file display resolution?

I think XnView MP currently show dwg file as a picture in both browser and viewer, not as vectors, if you zoom in you will see the pixels. It would be good if there is a way to force it to show as a vector, otherwise is there an option to set the resolution? Image viewers always ultimately display ...

Re: Way to set dwg file display resolution?

Hello, is there a way to set the dwg file display resolution in XnView MP ? The current resolution is too low to see the details. I checked in the Settings-Interface-Format-Read but did not find an option for dwg. Maybe I'm missing something, but DWG files are vector drawings that may contain a lot...

Re: Make jpg file size larger

Yeah, if only they could listen. But they won't listen to me and what kinda crap printer doesn't understand res vs bytes I suspect that they may really be interested in the pixel dimensions of images, which could relate directly to the way that they use the images... In that case you would probably...

Re: Make jpg file size larger

I don't really know, but every now and then a cheap printer specifies files in mb instead of pixels. It's a sign to stay away but I can't control what people want to use :( In a specific case couldn't you clarify what the printer actually needs? Perhaps I could save as bmp or tif... But would they ...
