Re: Where is the option []Do not ask overwrite...

btw... as much as I remember, there are different users with their own tutorials and manuals (even me). Why don't we start a wiki?

Hello Claude!

Thanks for your personal assistance :)
I set your "SaveAdvDlg=1" and had to say "yes" one last time.

Thanks again & Have a nice day!

Where is the option []Do not ask overwrite...

Hello If I remember right, there was an option to disable "The file <E:\_\1.png> already exists ! Do you want to overwrite it ?" after changings on the current file. (Ctrl-S just saves, since overwriting the old version is quite normal.). ... but after half an hour searching the options I give up......

Overview: Webtemplates

Hello I had to test XnView, vBulletin and my wiki... So I created a page with an overview of all XnView-Webtemplates, each including all vBulletin-Styles from 2 Sources. Text in German, Screenshots in English ;): XnView Webtemplates‎ (Visuddhi Lightbox does not load FullRes-Pictures, Visuddhi Flash ...

just saw this one :)
I posted a similar Idea under "Suggestions": Ctrl-Mousewhele to change Thumbnail Size

A simple pre-solution: Copy the Pulldown-Menu "View > Thumbnail Size" as Button next to "View as" above the Thumbnails.

Copy/Move to deleted Folder - press 100 times 'Cancel'

1. XNView: open a Tree with Folders A and B 2. Explorer: Delete A 3. XNView: Move 100 Files from B to the deleted A (in XNView sometimes still visible) -> You cannot press "cancel" for the whole operation, instead you must "cancel" every single file... Workaround 1: Press "Create Folder" (which norm...

Ctrl-Mousewheel to change Thumbnail Size

a) Simply take the next preset
b) without steps, gauss-Interpolate the Thumbs and accept the sice after "Enter" or forget it after "Esc"

"a)" would be easy to implement
"b)" is a "nice to have"

To implement Dual Pane is a nice bit of work. We could start with this workaround: - Add Layout "FolderTree on the right" - Button or Command "Dual Pane" which -- opens a 2nd XNView -- arranges the two next to each other -- enables the Layout "FolderTree on the right" on the new XNView -- Open DDE-C...

Instant Move/Copy without target confirmation

Hello Alt-C / Alt-M is very usefull, but when I have to move 100 Files (while viewing 1000) it would be easier withough confirming always the destination. Solutions a) A new Menu-Entry "Set Copy/Move-Target" where you can enter these Destinations or select "[o] Ask every Time" (Option) b) Two new Sh...

Interesting... now I can't reproduce it either... perhaps has something to do with the cached Thumbnails/included Paths in the Thumbnail-Cache-Database...

No problem, not an important "bug".

Thanks for trying!

"Drive not ready" with wrong Cache-Path

... you have to press six (!) times cancel :), before XNView starts.

Reproduce: Set Thumbnail-Cache to a non existing Drive and restart XNView.

Interesting... Try this:
- Open GIF, paste something in it -> all transparent gets white (without saving)

- Open ICO, paste something in it -> no bug -> Save as GIF=Transparency lost -> Save as ICO=Everything o.k.

... well I think it will occur with every Batch-Save...
(not after manual editing and saving)
