Re: How to add Alt-1 (calling external editor) to the toolbar

Sorry, I don't know how.
How should the command line read then?
say the .exe is in:
d:\Program\xyz.exe

How should it read then?
Sorry, but I am not familiar with this.

Thanks.

Re: Why does MP not include a proper backup feature?

Thanks. One simply has to know that, but without that knowledge ...
Suppose one has to copy the .ini, the .db, the .keys and possible .bar files over the new installation.

Why does MP not include a proper backup feature?

AFAIK this has been asked before and for what I remember one usually needs to do a number of -manual- actions. It would be nice if XnView/XnViewMP are doing all these steps by running backup/export tool. Why is that it is not available? Idea... something like: = XnViewMP-suggestion export settings-2...

How to add Alt-1 (calling external editor) to the toolbar

In view mode, Alt-1 will call an external editor (SnagItEditor) Q: How to add this to the viewer toolbar? (ONLY Alt-1, i.e. not the "Open With" drop down menu) Can that be done with a _cmd_ thing? (not sure though, I don't see any _cmd_ lines with a hotkey) Thanks XnViewMP-How to add Alt-1 to the to...

Re: How to display user defined details under 'Properties'?

Thank you. Nice indeed! That worked fine. Wish this could also be done when using another layout. Often I double click on an image to open XnViewMP, then I click on [Next] to view the next file and so on. To accomplish your suggestion, one has to go into 'browser' mode of XnView. After launching Xn...

Re: How to display user defined details under 'Properties'?

Many thanks indeed! Ahum ... Have to confess: I never used this, simply because I wasn't aware of it. I know, I know ... it is a shame. Instead, I always went into properties, then selected the ExifTool-tab to view the details. Drawback: I had to do for each separate photo, i.e. it is a bit difficu...

How to display user defined details under 'Properties'?

XnViewMP v0.93 x64 Under Settings->View->Tab: Info, I have defined a number of items. I wonder: a. where they are supposed to show up, i.e. how to have them displayed b. whether it is possible to have the same details displayed when opening a file, then r-click on 'properties'. - SnagIt-09062019 144...

How to start with a fixed windows size and image fit to Windows?

I'd like to have two things: 1. XnViewMP start with a fixed size Let's say, I resize a panel and then save that size to be used when XnViewMP is launched I can manually change the size, but the 'fixed size' would then be the starting point in all future cases, unless I change it 2. have images to be...

Re: Donation

Later
1. launch XnView
2. Go to Help > click "Make a donation"
3. Click on Paypal button

all goes fine from there.

Re: Donation

It seems to be a bit difficult to make a donation at all... One has to search on the forum how to do it and the provided link in thread "Donation" where Pierre said " I've now an account on PayPal for donation " still doesn't work. https://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=13543&hilit=paypal...

Donation

After installing the latest version of XnViewMP I am puzzled about your donation website. When clicking on 'Make a donation' (immediately after installing v0.93) I ended up in MyCommerce where I needed to pay for XnConvert 2x ?? Is this correct? I thought it was via Paypal and users to set their own...

Rename files-add modified date-time

All files that I create end with modified date-time. Each screencapture, each document. I started doing so many years ago. When renaming for instance screencaptures, there is an option to insert date time. Would it be possible to add a feature to rename a file and modified date is then automatically...

Re: Hide folders - show files only

Ah, I see what is meant... leads to the confusion. I meant something different: say you have folder 01 02 03 They contain images. Right now you have to open folder 01 to see them, then folder 02, to see the images in that folder, etc. But imagine the situation where the folders (01,02,03) are hidden...
