Topic: Paste compressed screenshot to Outlook?

I think this would be a great idea for
- an additional function in XnView or
- a kind of "standalone-plugin" for Outlook.

The usage of "make print screen - copy/paste to Outlook - send E-mail" wastes a lot of disk- and E-Mailspace, especially in great companies.

Sorry - I tried again:

one directory with 1300 tifs and 107 MB

"Same file data" - after half a second: No files found.
"Similar picture" (similarity 54) - after half a second: No files found.

I copied "a.tif" to "b.tif" - No files found.

Yes - of course. I started in the directory, removed and added it again - no results.

Is there a limitation on special filetypes? I have wmf, sld (AutoCAD) and dwg.

"Find similar files" - how to use it?

I tried the function "Find similar files" - and no matter which method I'm using (name, data, picture) - I get always the same result: "No files found".

At the end I copied "a.wmf" to "b.wmf" and "c.wmf" in the same directory - no results.

What is wrong?

Re: Print dialog: Caption and Header/Footer

But the problem is: Which picture info must i take for header/footer? I think this could be only a problem when I want to print more then one picture on one sheet of paper. When I print only one picture per sheet I can add all the logical (dyynamic?) functions - used in caption - to header and foot...

Print dialog: Caption and Header/Footer

The "caption" dialogue has a lot of "logical functions" (date, name, exif, ..) which can be used. Header and Footer have only "Page Number" and "Page Count". To my mind the disadvantage of caption is that its position is depending by picture height, and different pictures produce captions on a diffe...

Auto-rotate when printing

In posting http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=10648& there was a question on Nov. 18, 2006: If an image would fit the dimensions of the paper better by rotating tolandscape, it seems like best fit could do that for the user. Otherwise, choosing landscape isn't too hard. The posting is place...

I have remember window position and size enabled in the options.
I have to confirm this behaviour: XNView, closed on Monitor 2, is always opened later in Monitor 1.

SE: Additional print function for Shell Extension

The software "Shell Picture" (http://baxbex.de/shellpicture.html - no freeware!) is very similar to "Shell Extension", but has interesting print functions.

Maybe you can add print functions too?
