Re: R-Click displays unexpected context menu

The mouse cursor changes from the pointer to the context menu! But I did once see the hand briefly?? And you were keeping the right mouse button pressed? The hand appears very briefly when zoomed in then the context menu appears, could it possibly actually be an earlier version of the Shell Extensi...

Re: R-Click displays unexpected context menu

It's MP's regular context menu for view mode. Please take a look at screenshots of the shell extension for comparison. If the dimensions of the viewed image are smaller than or equal to XnView's window size, a right mouse button click on the image invokes the context menu. If the dimensions of the v...

Re: Webp export transparency

This file: https://imgur.com/a/B7J38rb If you open it in xnview, the background is transparent, but if you try to export to webp, it's no longer transparent. Palette-based PNGs with an alpha channel have to be converted to truecolor with alpha channel in order for transparency to be preserved durin...

Re: PNG Resizing Transparency Issue

@Pierre: Is there any chance you'll implement this function? The following code transforms grayscale images of less than 8 to 8 bits, changes paletted images to RGB, and adds a full alpha channel if there is transparency information in a tRNS chunk . This is most useful on grayscale images with bit...

Re: PNG Resizing Transparency Issue

Welcome back, nintendomaniac64  I've attached an example of one of the offending PNGs We're dealing with a truecolor PNG with a (single color) tRNS chunk. I was able to batch-convert 0.png using Greenfish Icon Editor Pro v3.6 (Windows + Linux) to XnView-compatible 32-bit BMP, PNG, TGA and T...

Re: Using Zip version install on external drive.

How to do it: Make a folder on your data drive - let's call it D:\XnView Go and see where is your old data warehouse (this is optional - only if you wish to save them): Go to Tools | Settings | Integration press the 'Open Database Location...' - leave the Explorer Window open. In XnView from ' Fold...

Re: Export all pages from a Multi-page TIFF

As it turns out, TiffToy can split multi-page TIFF files witout re-encoding each page (confirmed by Compare It! and AsTiffTagViewer ). The attached TIFF file contains 11 pages, each of which is encoded differently from all the other pages. The pages are, in order: 1- Uncompressed RGB 2- Uncompressed...

Re: Export all pages from a Multi-page TIFF

Yes, lossless but not without *recompression*. I can only decide between much bigger files (lossless format) or decreasing quality (recompress again with lossy jpeg). My multipage file is having grayscale and color pages. Last ones seem to be compressed with jpeg. I don't have a solution, but maybe...
