Re: Lossless flip/rotate

Windows Explorer and Windows Photos rotate the 1000x1000 image losslessly, without removing any pixels.
Couldn't XnView do the same, or is such behavior wrong somehow (against jpeg specs, maybe)?

It depends on the JPEG's chroma subsampling :

Re: Recovering accidentally deleted folders and files

Happy Easter 2U2 (-:
I just ran WinfrGUI on an old FAT32-formatted USB stick with 8 GB capacity (5 GB free space) and was surprised how many files it was able to resurrect.
So I'm cautiously optimistic that you'll get your data back.

Re: Recovering accidentally deleted folders and files

I use Microsoft's WinFR (Windows File Recovery). It's a command-line tool, but there's a graphical user interface for it.

Download and install WinfrGUI on your PC.
Connect your USB to your Windows computer.
Launch WinfrGUI and select your USB from the list of available drives.

Re: How to find defined colours?

As it turns out, Inkscape does have a Layers and Objects docker, but it's less detailed than CorelDraw's Objects Manager.

Re: How to find defined colours?

I use CorelDraw X6 (2013) for editing vector graphics.
It has an object manager docker I can't do without.
This seems to be missing in Inkscape :-(

Re: How to find defined colours?

If you're working with raster (instead of vector) graphics:
  1. Optimize where_is_red_area.png with PngOptimizer.
  2. Open the result in XnView MP.
  3. Go to ImageEdit colormap… and change all colors except red to white (#ffffff).
  4. Optimize the result with PngOptimizer.

Inkscape: FileDocument ResourcesColors

This is just a first idea.
I'm still looking for better solutions.

Re: BBCode bug?

The BBCode syntax skips attributes with no values, so [x x] is interpreted as [x] . Illegal characters cause the whole thing to be ignored. You can add your own markup validation via a tag filter. Tag filters can be added via an extension. The return value of tag filters is ignored in s9e ...
