(?=.*sunset) isn't valid in PCRE

I have not said that it's a bad idea Well, not good means bad, right? ;) No, the problem is company. They don't want (often) that users change anything in menu!! Companies who don't want that user X does action Y are advised to restrict the user's rights. If admins are too stupid to do that, give t...

I don't understand the meaning of 1: As nothing would change for people who are happy with the default menu, calling it a bad idea is strange. 3: %appdata% is designed to be writable for normal users, what kind of access problems could be expected? 4: Users without an opinion are irrelevant. They ea...

I'm desperately trying to understand this discussion: Is Pierre obligated to justify to us FREEware (free as in free beer) users what he does or does not do with his program, his code? It makes no difference if you develop freeware, shareware or whatever. The only important thing is if you wanna be...

Antonio? The best or just probably? ;) The forum is dead if you ask me. One posting every month or so a...

A43 has no tab support, that's why it hasn't been mentioned I think.

If you know a lightest (RAM/CPU) one, please name it... Just use an old Windows Commander: http://totalcmd.pl/download/app/old/ Version 3.53 was released at the end of 1998 and not only offers more features than the poor Servant Salamander 1.52 released at that time but also uses fewer resources. E...

have u ever tried CubicExplorer? is freeware I have tried it – although the screenshots already told me enough – and have to say that this is probably the worst "file manager" I have ever seen. The good thing is: It uses INI files only so at least I had no problems to dump it in my cubic recycle bi...

As a natural born translator Clo knows best what is needed to make translators happy, so I can only support his request. :) Sure, I can resource hack DLLs to adjust strings to my needs but editing plain text files is just more comfortable. Using WinMerge for example one can easily see what has chang...

The wallpapers should be saved inside %appdata%\XnView directory, not outside in %appdata%, this is the whole problem. Unfortunately many applications tend to put their stuff directly in %appdata% instead of creating an own subfolder there like expected, it's a real mess. I hope this will be fixed, ...

[BUG?] .ICO association not possible

Under Options -> Associations I can see the entry "Windows Icon" but there is no extension".ico" listed aside. The result is that I can't associate XnView with .ico.
