"Cropping" and saving

Hello: I am going to scan two big photo albums with several pictures on each page. A normal crop of, say, a five-image page would amount to making 5 electronic copies of each page and then crop photo1 in page copy 1 and save, crop photo2 in page copy 2 and save, etc. It would take a terribly long ti...

Re: prn file problem

cday, I have never printed directly to pdf, so I was unaware of it. It worked beautifully, and is exactly what I needed. Thanks!

prn file problem

I subscribe to the National Geographic Magazine digital edition, and that allows me to print magazine pages. So, I printed to file, and when I open the prn file with XnView Classic (2.46), I get this message: "Please purchase CAD Image DLL to remove this text www.cadsofttools.com - Evaluation versio...

Re: Resize

Thanks, cday. In addition to this issue, another: would you suggest that I start using MP? I did not switch to it in the past, because there was something it could not do that I found important (can't remember what). But that has probably changed. So, switch?

Is this a difficult question or an inane one?

Resize

I keep having trouble understanding Resize in XnView. Some help would be greatly appreciated. I did Image > Resize and set PrintSize to about 4.5 inches wide and 6 inches high and was going to print. But then, I realized that there is a Page layout field in the Print box > Layout. And there, I found...

Re: 2.36: Sensitivity of Arrows for navigating between pictures

Hello: I thought this was fixed, but I am not sure. In any event, I get the blue button when I open the *first* file in a list and "Tools > Options > View > Misc > Loop on filelist" is UNchecked. Pierre, you asked above: "Does Explorer use the same sort order in the active directory as XnView, Hans ...

Hello:

Help! I cannot find "Loop on the file list" (or similar) anywhere in Options or elsewhere. Where has it gone?

Re: Arrow for moving between pictures

Great. Hope something will be done, because, in your hyperlinks, this was discussed in detail a loooong time ago :-) Let's not forget that Pierre is the only developer of all these feature-rich and complex programs. He constantly has to weigh one against the other: Spending time on minor bugs that p...

Re: Arrow for moving between pictures

Does Explorer use the same sort order in the active directory as XnView, Hans L? I remember (kinda' vaguely) that once, Windows Explorer did not have the same sort order on my computer, and I think I asked in this group, and got a tip to set something either in Explorer or Xnview so as to get the s...
